カップルが別れたあとに友達になるのがどうしてそんなに難しいのか、僕には分からない。気が合う。仲良くする。うまく付き合うLet’s stop fighting over little things. We need to learn how to get along because we’re going to be working together for the next three months.
些細なことでけんかをするのはやめよう。私たちは向こう3ヶ月間、共に働くのだから、うまく付き合っていく方法を学ばなくてはいけない。She hates going to work because she doesn’t get along with her boss.
彼女は上司と気が合わないため、仕事に行くのをひどく嫌がっている。Going to work is so much more fun if you get along with your coworkers.
同僚たちとうまくやっていれば、仕事に行くのはもっと楽しい。It’s sometimes difficult to get along with people if you don’t have anything in common with them.

- stop by は、どこか別の場所（＝最終目的地）へ向かう途中についでに立ち寄る、という意味なので、相手に対して自分がわざわざ立ち寄る（もしくは会いに行く・会いに来た）と思われたくない場合などに役立つ表現です。上の4つの例文のうち、初めの2つがこれに当てはまります。
- drop by がstop by の代わりに使われることがありますが、stop by よりも少しカジュアルな表現です。
- swing by も stop by とほぼ同じ意味ですが、立ち寄った場所に滞在する時間がとても短いことを強調する場合に使われます。
